Palworld has tons of different materials you’re going to need to survive, from Egg Incubators to hatch new Pals to Pal Spheres that you can throw to catch Pals to help you. Wood is one of the most important resources in the game, and you’re going to need a lot of it. How do you get Wood in Palworld? How do you get it quickly? There are some easier ways to farm this item, and we’re here to let you know what they are.

How to get Wood in Palworld

There are a few different methods for getting Wood in Palworld:

  • Cut down trees
  • Pick up branches, twigs, and sticks
  • Build a Logging Site

All of these are reliable methods for getting more Wood. The further into the game you get, the more you can rely on a Logging Site to automate the process for you.

Wood obviously comes from trees, which you can cut down to get the material. Cutting down trees requires an axe, of which there are three you can build:

  • Stone Axe (5 Wood, 5 Stone)
  • Metal Axe (20 Wood, 15 Stone, 5 Ingot)
  • Refined Metal Axe (40 Wood, 30 Stone, 10 Refined Ingot)

Simply walk up to any tree while holding an axe and chop it down. You’ll get Wood for each hit of the axe. This can all be a bit time-consuming, but it will yield plenty of wood and you’ll be able to continue crafting on your primitive workbench!

Use your bare hands

You can also choose to hit trees with your bare hands if you’re just beginning, but you’ll get less wood than if you use an axe. This is a good way to get Wood if you’re just starting, though.

Pick up branches, twigs, and sticks

If you spot any object on the ground that looks like it’s made of wood, including branches, twigs, sticks, or anything similar, gather it and you’ll get Wood in your inventory. This is the simplest method for getting Wood. This is the best method if you’re just beginning the game.

Once you get up in level and have a substantial base you can come back to, a Logging Site is perfect for getting more Wood without having to work for it. Once you have the Logging Site, place a Pal in it that’s work suitability is Lumbering. They’ll gather a good amount of Wood for you, as this is an extremely valuable trait for Pals to have.

To build a Logging Site, you must be at least level 7, and you need:

  • 50 Wood
  • 20 Stone
  • 10 Paldium Fragments
