Does Palworld autosave? If a game has ever encompassed the idea of grinding, Palworld takes the trophy. Building a base, keeping your pals (definitely not Pokemon) fed and happy, battling bosses, and gathering resources takes time. You wouldn’t want to lose your progress.
We’ll walk you through whether Palworld has autosave and how to save manually. For more help catching critters, check out our Palworld beginner’s guide, the best mining Pals, and how to farm High-Quality Pal Oil.
Autosaving in Palworld
Yes, Palworld has a built-in autosave feature that automatically saves the game every few minutes, safeguarding your world progress and all in case the game crashes or you alt+F4 out of the game. A notification pops up in the top right of the screen when the game is saving. Given that there’s a gap between autosaves, you may very well lose some progress if the game bugs out, but it should only be a couple of minutes at worst so not too much to worry about.
How to save in Palworld
To save your game in Palworld, tap the Return to Title button when exiting a server. When you join the world again, you’ll pick up exactly where you left off. For better or for worse, there’s only one save per world when you exit and there’s no way to create multiple saves. There’s no dedicated save button in the pause menu as we see in so many other games.
For multiplayer servers, the save process is identical to solo servers, except that if you leave before a friend, the game state when you return will be the same as that of the last player to exit rather than yours.
Make sure you close the game through the Return to Title button and you’ll have a save to come back to when you next jump into Palworld. We also have guides covering the best Ways to get gold, the full Paldeck, and how to catch Pals using Pal Spheres.
