While gold isn’t the most necessary item in the game, it is useful for buying quite a few things, especially if you have found the black market. Here are the best ways to get gold in Palworld plus a Palworld money farm.

What are the best ways to get gold in Palworld?

There are multiple methods that you can use to get gold in Palworld. These include the following:

  1. Selling food
  2. Selling excess Pals
  3. Using Mau to farm gold
  4. Defeat Black Marketeers

Let’s break down what makes these methods great and how they can get you a lot of extra money in the game.

Selling Food

The first method of getting gold is to simply cook food. In the early hours of the game, this will be your best bet at amassing a good-sized wealth. Specifically, you can make Grilled Chikipi and Lamball Kebabs. While these don’t sell for a lot, they will get you a good amount of cash. Plus, you can sell the Pals you catch for some extra gold on top of that.

Selling Pals

Pals are everywhere in Palworld. We think that goes without saying. Anyway, these Pals are worth their weight in gold (literally). Catch a bunch of extra Pals and you can sell them to merchants in the villages. At first, these Pals won’t sell for much but as you catch more difficult-to-obtain Pals, they will sell for a lot more.

Sell off some humans

Whenever you come across Syndicate Members in Palworld, don’t be afraid to catch them as well if you have the extra Pal Spheres. After all, you can sell humans on the black market in Palworld, earning you some much-needed extra gold.

How to farm gold in Palworld

If you want to farm money, you need to get your hands on a Pal called Mau. This is a bronze and black cat Pal that is typically found at night or in caves. We suggest searching dungeons first as this Pal is mostly found in caves.

Mau is a grazing Pal which means you need a ranch built at your camp. Once you have a ranch built and have caught multiple Mau (we suggest four or five for a good farm), you can sit back and watch the money roll in. Mau will automatically dig up gold as it grazes on the ranch. This will get you passive income while you work on other ways to get the currency. We only used two Mau and got somewhere around 1,000 gold per hour while completing other tasks. A fleet of Mau will surely bring in the dough.

Defeating/capturing Black Marketeers

The Black Marketeers are some of the most difficult to beat humans in the game. With each one being level 40, it is easy to see why they are meant to be endgame threats should you try to fight them. Defeating a Black Marketeer will get you thousands of gold. You can easily do this by luring them to a hanging trap and then lighting a fire underneath them. Of course, you can also capture these merchants to have a permanent merchant at your base.

That is everything you need to know about farming money in Palworld. Be sure to also check out how to fast travel in Palworld. You should also check out how to breed Pals and hatch eggs.
