Best way to farm Ammo in Palworld
The best way to farm for ammo is to set up both Production Assembly Lines and Weapon Assembly Lines. This way you can use Pals with the Handiwork work suitability to constantly be assembling more ammo for you to use in combat.
Weapon Assembly Line II and Production Assembly Line II are your best bet to continue farming for ammo. To make a Weapon Assembly Line II, you’ll need:
- 100 Ingots
- 10 Circuit Boards
- 30 Nails
A Weapon Assembly Line II is made with:
- 100 Ingots
- 50 Wood
- 20 Nails
- 10 High Quality Pal Oil
Misnamed
There’s a current bug in Palworld where the Weapon Assembly Line II is mislabeled at Production Assembly Line II. However, you can tell the difference because the description only mentions weapons and ammo production.
Best Pals to farm Ammo with
To make the production lines move, you’ll need to assign Pals to them. This requires Pals with the Handiwork work suitability. There are several Pals with this skill. Here are the best Pals to place at your assembly lines:
Pal | Handiwork Level |
Anubis | Level 4 |
Verdash | Level 3 |
Lyleen | Level 3 |
Place these Pals in your Production Assembly Lines and Weapon Assembly Lines to keep them moving along quickly. If you don’t want to use your most powerful Pals, you can place starter Pals like Tanzee or Lifmunk on the lines instead.
How to farm Gunpowder
Gunpowder is an essential material for all types of ammo, and you can make it using the following materials at a High Quality Workbench:
- 2 Charcoal
- 1 Sulfer
Charcoal can be made by placing two pieces of Wood in a Primitive Furnace, while Sulfur is mined from Sulfur Deposits, which appear as large yellow boulders.
To farm as much Gunpowder as possible, keep queuing up Charcoal in a Primitive Furnace and have a Kindling Pal continue to keep it running. So long as you know how to farm Wood, you’ll have plenty of Charcoal soon enough.
Sulfur can be a bit tougher but stick to sandy areas like deserts to be more likely to find it. Keep a Digtoise with you. This Pal can use their Partner Skill, Drill Crusher, to easily mine tons of Sulfur for you.
If you set up your base near lots of Sulfur Deposits, any Pal with the Mining work suitability at level 2 or higher will automatically mine them for you.
As long as you continue to keep your production lines running, and materials ready to go, you’ll have plenty of ammo for your guns in no time.
Other ways to get Ammo in Palworld
Besides making production lines to keep the ammo flowing, you can also pick up ammo from defeating human enemies. Any enemy that carries guns is bound to have ammo on them, so you can run into them while exploring or defeat them whenever you have to deal with a Raid. This is another solid method for farming ammo. Just defeat as many enemies as you can whenever you run into them to stock up on the bullets.
You can also get ammo from merchants. A great way to snag more ammo consistently is to catch a merchant and use them to purchase ammo at your camp. You can find a merchant with all ammo types at the Duneshelter in the northeastern desert.
