Daedream is extremely easy to come by, especially at the starting island when you begin the game. As a low-level Pal, you won’t have to worry about coming up with a strong team to beat and catch one.

Daedream location in Palworld

Daedream can be found on the starting island, at almost every section of it during night time. Daedream also appears elsewhere on the map and is always in great abundance while it’s dark. To find a Daedream, wait until it’s dark and start looking around the start island. When it’s dark, they are fairly noticeable thanks to how much they glow purple in the darkness.

If you don’t want to wait for a full day and night cycle in-game, you can adjust the length of days in the game’s settings. You can change these settings in the ‘World Settings’ option before you load into your game.

Use the image of the map above to see where you can find Daedream. We encountered them in huge supply directly down from the Plateau of Beginnings where you start the game. If you get unlucky and don’t encounter any here, you can search further ahead and on to other islands. Just look for glowing purple heads in the dark.

How to catch Daedream in Palworld

Catching Daedream doesn’t require any special tactics. Since they are found in low-level areas, you should even be able to punch them or hit them with a club to weaken them in no time. We recommend fighting them without a Pal in case the Pal accidentally takes it out before you can catch it.

Daedream is mostly geared towards being a combat Pal, but it does have a decent spread of Work Suitability if you don’t have a ton of options in the early game. Catching a Pal in Palworld is always the same process, but you should always aim your Pal Spheres so you don’t waste them with a missed throw. As a quick note, you can sometimes get a bonus to your capture rate if you throw your Pal Sphere at the enemy from behind. While not foolproof, it can increase your chances and save you some Spheres. One of the main aspects of Pals in Palworld is the skills that let them help out around your base. Each Pal has a different spread, and Daedream has levels in Handiwork, Gathering, and Transporting. With these three skills covered, Daedream can help out your base quite a lot until you come across other Pals with more Skills.

Is Daedream’s Necklace worth it?

Crafting Daedream’s necklace will let your Daedream access its partner skill, Dream Chaser. When the player attacks, Daedream will follow up with magic bullets in tandem with your strikes. crafting the necklace will let your Daedream access its Partner Skill.

To craft Daedream’s Necklace, you need to reach level 6 and unlock the option to make it in the Technology tab. You will need to have caught one Daedream for this to appear, and you will need a Pal Gear Workbench to make the necklace. With that done, take the materials to the bench and select the Necklace to craft it, like with other Saddles and Harnesses.

Daedream item Drops and Materials

Daedream drops a Venom Gland and a Small Pal Soul. Beating, catching, or Butching a Pal will give you items the Pal holds. These are different between each Pals, but there is a lot of crossover. Small Pal Souls are dropped regularly by Pals, but Daedream is a good source of Venom Glands if you find you need them.

Once you’ve captured a Pal and gained its rewards, you can immediately choose to Butcher it with the knife and get the rewards a second time. This is a way to double your rewards, but the Pal is lost in the process.
