Who are the Freestar Collective in Starfield?
The Freestar Collective are the second largest faction in Starfield’s Settled Systems. Their capital, Akila City, located on the planet of the same name in the Cheyenne system, and the capital of the Freestar Collective, was founded in 2167. Akila City also includes the Freestar Collective’s headquarters, known as The Rock.
The Freestar Collective is a loose confederation of different star systems – the Cheyenne, Narion, and Volii systems – primarily dedicated to protecting the personal freedom of its citizens. They see themselves as something of a peacekeeping force in the region, and they strive for stability and place emphasis on a defensive military doctrine.
The Freestar Collective are also the main rivals of the Starfield United Colonies faction, having been at war with them just twenty years prior to the game’s events. The Narion War and the Colony War were messy affairs, and though peace has held since its end, tensions still remain.
Can I join the Freestar Collective in Starfield?
You can join the Freestar Rangers faction in Starfield if you want to. To join the faction visit Akila City complete the Job Done Wrong quest, then talk to Emma Wilcox in The Rock.
