Starfield Lair of the Mantis pressure plate solution

To solve the Starfield Mantis puzzle, you’ll need to step on the lettered pressure plates to spell out TYRANNIS. So, for simplicity, T on the first line, Y on the second of floor panels, R on the third, and so on, until you reach the end of the rows of tiles. The Mantis floor puzzle solution can be found in the Leon Voclain – Sic Semper Tyrannis slab audio log, which you’ll find on a random dead spacer as you explore the secret base.

As you make your way across, be careful not to accidentally trigger any of the other, wrong tiles otherwise it’s almost guaranteed death. Stick to the correct tiles to spell out the word by paying close attention to the marker below each one. Once you make your way across the pressure plates, tap the red button to the right of the barred door to get through.

From there and after a brief chat with Livvey (if you kept him alive), get ready to face several tough robots. Continue forward, picking them off as you go to discover what’s hidden inside the Starfield Lair of the Mantis, unlocking some great gear, loot, and rewards – the Mantis Razorleaf ship, helmet, and Mantis spacesuit. You’ll find the Mantis armor set on a mannequin in a room to the left as you enter the large chamber.

Note that there are two robots hidden to the right of the console that unlock the starship so be cautious as you approach. The Razorleaf, in particular, is a superb early game ship, mainly thanks to its shielded cargo hold, which will allow you to get through customs scans and smuggle contraband.

While you in the lair, you can also pick up the Mantis Pack, Mantis Spacesuit, and Mantis Space Helmet. All three are on a mannequin in a display case in the quarters to the left as you enter the chamber containing the Razorleaf.
