Starfield Lair of the Mantis pressure plate solution
To solve the Starfield Lair of the Mantis puzzle, you’ll need to step on the lettered pressure plates in the right order. The correct order for the Mantis floor puzzle, starting from the line of letters closest to where you first enter the corridor, is TYRANNIS. So, for simplicity, T on the first line, X on the second of floor panels, R on the third, and so on, until you reach the end of the rows of letters. The solution can be found in the Leon Voclain – Sic Semper Tyrannis slab audio log, which you’ll find on a random dead spacer as you explore the secret base.
As you make your way across, be careful not to accidentally trigger any of the other, wrong letters otherwise it’s almost guaranteed death. Once you make your way across the pressure plates, tap the red button to the right of the barred door to get through.
From there and after a brief chat with Livvey (if you kept him alive), get ready to face several tough robots. Continue forward, picking them off as you go to discover what’s hidden inside the Starfield Lair of the Mantis, unlocking some great gear, loot, and rewards – the Mantis Razorleaf ship, helmet, and Mantis spacesuit. You’ll find the Mantis armor set on a mannequin in a room to the left as you enter the large chamber.
Note that there are two robots hidden to the right of the console that unlock the starship so be cautious as you approach. The Razorleaf, in particular, is a superb early game ship, mainly thanks to its shielded cargo hold, which will allow you to get through customs scans and smuggle contraband.
