Thibaut Courtois – 90 Overall
There is no surprise to see Thibaut Courtois at the top of the EA Sports FC 24 best GK list. The giant Belgian stopper has been sensational for Real Madrid over the past couple of seasons, especially in the Champions League. Sadly for Courtois and his team, injury has ruled him out for the majority of the 2023/24 season. Still, that won’t stop him from taking to the field in FC 24 Career Mode, so if you’re after the best around, he is your top signing!
Alisson – 89 Overall
Liverpool‘s Alisson shares an 89 Overall with Germany and Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The German sits high up in the ratings after a La Liga-winning team was built on a solid defence, however, it’s the Brazilian you would want to sign. For some reason, Alisson just performs better than most other top keepers in the game!
Ederson – 88 Overall
Treble-winning Ederson of Manchester City is unlucky to miss out on a spot in the top three after bathing in trophies last season! Still, an 88 OVR is pretty impressive. We all know he is the best keeper in the world with the ball at his feet, which explains why has has the Long Ball Pass PlayStyle. It’s rare that an outfield PlayStyle is given to a goalkeeper!
Gianluigi Donnarumma – 87 Overall
Of course, when it comes to Career Mode, the age and high potential of a player are some of the biggest factors in who you sign. Although no goalkeeper has the potential to exceed Courtois’ 90 Overall, there are three younger options that can match it. Being young and talented does mean a higher price tag though! PSG shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma is up there once again, with the Italian cementing his stop as number one in Paris. At 24, he is also the youngest player who can reach the 90 POT.
Mike Maignan – 87 Overall
Mike Maignan was brought in at AC Milan to replace Donnarumma. The Serie A side have found another top man between the sticks, with the Frenchman thought of as one of the elites. Then, the third man with a 90 Potential is Gregor Kobel, who has come on leaps and bounds at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga to become one of the best around.
