Central defensive midfielders have become a key part of the game, not just for protecting the back line, but for building from the back. In this article, we are looking at the best FC 24 wonderkid CDM ratings.

A combination of physicality, defensive awareness, and the ability to find a pass at any range make for a top player in the position. Check out the best wonderkid CDM players in FC 24 Career Mode below.

With the CDM position becoming more valued than ever before, you may need to pay a premium for top players in that position for your FC 24 Career Mode. However, you can buy a cheap wonderkid and train them into one of the best around, as well as giving your side longevity.

We are classing wonderkids as anyone who is a teenager at the start of your FC 24 Career Mode save and are including anyone with a base position of CDM.

Arthur Vermeeren – 87 Potential

Arthur Vermeeren isn’t a physical bruiser CDM and will be best used nicking back possession and playing the ball forward. At 5’9”, he can’t battle with the big boys but will be a great tempo-setter for your side.

Romeo Lavia – 86 Potential

It looked unlikely that Romeo Lavia would remain a Southampton player past the summer, with Chelsea the side to get his signature. Another Belgian, he has a great mix of pace, strength, defensive astuteness, and skill on the ball which makes him ideal for sitting in front of the back line.

Stefan Bajcetic – 86 Potential

Jurgen Klopp began to give Stefan Bajcetic some regular game time last campaign until injury struck and put an end to his season. Will the Spaniard be able to become a starter in a new-look Liverpool midfield this season?

Noah Mbamba – 84 Potential

With the Golden Generation of Belgium football not able to achieve greatness, it will be up to the new crop of players coming through to win a trophy for the national side. Noah Mbamba is a player that could get in on the action, with his starting physicality a great place to build from while also improving his skill attributes.

Lucas Gourna-Douath – 83 Potential

If you are in need of a player who can help out the first team straight away, then Lucas Gourna could be for you. The Frenchman is athletic and comfortable on the ball after regaining possession. However, as he has an early August birthday, we don’t yet know if he will be a teenager at the start of FC 24.
