Love hand cannons? Want to know how to get Epochal Integration in Destiny 2? Any players who favour Bungie’s line of powerful revolver-like weapons will want to get their hands on the latest legendary hand cannon to arrive in Season of The Deep.

We’ll cover how to get Epochal Integration in Destiny 2, and why the newest hand cannon is so coveted. With exotic auto rifles like Destiny 2 Quicksilver Storm and Destiny 2 Centrifuse flying out of development since Lightfall, it’s about time for Guardians who prefer slow and precise weapons to get in on the action.

How to get the Destiny 2 Epochal Integration

To get Epochal Integration in Destiny 2, you’ll need to complete the new quest on Neomuna, Lifting the Veil. This Veil quest is the first step in the new missions aimed at addressing the nature of the Veil. This quest was announced by Bungie following the Lightfall campaign’s poor reception, including confusion over what The Veil is. Though you don’t need to worry about spoilers here just yet, this quest seems to promise more to follow later in the Season of The Deep that will hopefully reveal new insight into The Veil, and the Witness’ plans for it.

To begin the quest, head to Neomuna, and talk to Nimbus. They’ll explain that there’s been some strange Vex activity occurring across the city, and ask you to investigate. First you’ll need to defeat Cabal to gather data on where the Vex activity is strongest. You’ll only need ten Vex tracking data fragments for this, so it shouldn’t take very long.

Once you’ve got this done, you’ll want to head over to Maya’s retreat, that spot just past the city’s outskirts. When you reach the cave up to the hidden retreat, you’ll find it swarming with Vex, including a Vex Data Node similar to those from the AVALON exotic quest for Vexcalibur. To access the node, you’ll need to defeat the three shielded Harpies orbiting it, and to do this, you’ll need to defeat each wave of Vex, including Wyvern mini-bosses.

With this complete, Osiris will chime in, telling you that you’re close, but in need of more data points. He’ll ask you to head over to Irkalla Complex, the structure that houses the Veil. Here you’ll need to repeat the fighting against waves of Vex for access to another Vex Data node.

That finished, Osiris will inform you that it seems the Vex were after data inside the ancient computers surrounding the Veil, which apparently survived The Collapse. From here you’ll head down into the depths of the Irkalla Complex once more, and come face-to-face with The Veil again.

While your ghost hacks into the old mainframe, a Tormentor boss, Impression Of Nezerac, will crash in to spoil the fun. Defeat them and the hordes of Taken enemies they bring in alongside them, and you’ll finally get your data.

The data is simply an old log from Chioma Esi, one of the founders of Neomuna, expressing dismay and fear as the Ishtar Collective begins colonising Neptune in the wake of The Collapse. She and Maya Sundaresh will be names familiar to Destiny lore buffs, and it looks like they’re going to be crucial to unravelling the mysteries of The Veil going forward.

After all this, return to the Hall of Heroes to meditate next to the Pouka pond to complete the Lifting the Veil quest. Here, you’ll at last receive a masterworked Epochal Integration hand cannon.

As promised, it’s a fantastic weapon with excellent stats and traits, and a lot of perks to choose from. When unlocked, you’ll have three double perk rolls we were able to pick between: Eye of The Storm or Incandescent, Keep Away or Stats for All, and for its origin trait, Harmonic Resonance or Nanotech Tracer Rockets. Combined with a roll of Ricochet Rounds, fantastic handling, reload speed, and stability, and solar damage to help scorch targets, this makes for an incredible reward overall. Epochal Integration is sure to shine in both PvP and PvE activities.
