Much like past installments, one of the most important aspects of EA’s annualized American football series is its competitive PvP mode where you can duke it out with your friends for the ultimate prize: bragging rights.
And with the Madden 24 release date fast approaching, the game’s early access period will give you the chance to do just that. So if you’re itching to show off your prowess with the pigskin against your peers, then we’ve covered all you’ll need to know on how to add friends here.
Madden 24 – how to invite friends
To add friends in Madden 24, you will need to access your Friends Portal from the game’s home screen. Console players can open this up by pressing R3 while PC gamers will simply have to hover over it and click it. Once your EA Connect page is pulled up, scroll over to the “Player Search” tab. You can then select the Search Bar where you will be able to enter your friend’s specific EA ID. Finally, you will simply need to submit your request after which your friend will then be able to confirm it.
To recap, here are the steps you’ll need to take to add friends in Madden 24:
- Start up Madden 24 and access your Friends Portal from the home page.
- Once your EA Connect page shows up, scroll over to the Player Search tab.
- Select the Search bar to enter your friend’s EA ID.
- Submit your request and wait for your friend’s confirmation.
Keep in mind that in order to add or invite friends, you’ll need to have an EA account. So if you don’t have one yet, we suggest creating one ahead of time so you can hop in and start inviting others to H2H matches immediately.
Madden 24 – how to play with friends
To play online with friends in Madden 24, select Online H2H through the Quick Play menu and press Play a Friend. Afterwards, in the menu that pops up, you can select the person you want to match up with from your Friends list. This should then invite your friend to a lobby and you’re well on your way to kicking off and scoring touchdowns.
Alternatively, you can also opt for a classic experience instead by connecting a second controller and inviting your friend over. You will then be able to start an offline game by pressing Quick Play and selecting the Play Now option. Finally, choose Custom Game and you and your friend can simply choose sides and the teams you’ll both be playing as.
