Will Madden 24 be on PS4? Following EA Sports’ announcement earlier this month regarding Madden 24’s release date, new cover athlete, and pre order editions, fans are still after a series of other key bits of information, including whether it will be on PS4 this year. Ever since the arrival of FieldSENSE last year in Madden 23, fans have grown to realize just how drastically better the next-gen gameplay experience is in comparison to current-gen, leaving many on edge about whether Madden 24 will be available to play on PS4 this year. Will Madden 24 be on PS4?
Yes, Madden 24 will be available for PS4 players when it launches later this summer. However, due to the advancement of technology with next-generation consoles and Madden’s intent to offer a much better gameplay experience for those that own them (such as PS5 players), the quality of the PS4 Madden 24 experience simply won’t be the same, and could lack a variety of features that PS5 players would enjoy.
For Madden 23, this was most certainly the case. Although EA is promising one of their best Madden editions to date, the current-gen experience in comparison to next-gen one was different. And with no FieldSENSE to enjoy, Madden 23 left a lot to be desired for PS4 players and current-gen owners alike.
In case you missed it, PS4 players will not have access to FieldSENSE, SAPIEN Technology, and a vast variety of other Madden 24 gameplay features, which already will diminish the value and quality the new game will have to offer on PS4. In fact, the closed beta period that’s running right now is only available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC players because of the new features that are coming to Madden 24.
