2024 upcoming games list – confirmed and expected video game release dates

The list of 2024 upcoming game releases is slowly getting longer as we make our way through the current year. With so many big-name releases scheduled for 2024, you have plenty to look forward to. So far, we’ve seen heavy hitters such as Granblue Fantasy Relink, Persona 3 Reload, and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, to name a few. While many of these games have a release date locked in, we can’t rule out any last-minute delays.

Biggest January releases to keep an eye on

Prince of Persia is coming back to our consoles, which promises to be an fantastic tale. Stylistically, the game is hugely different to the previous release and embraces the side-scroller.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the sequel to Like a Dragon, brilliant Yakuza game that follows the story of hapless and lovable Ichiban Kasuga. We can’t wait for the minigames.

February 2024 game releases

Leading the charge in February, we have Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Persona 3 Reload releasing within a day of each other. These two RPGs are sure to keep you going through all of February. Helldivers 2 proved to be a sleeper hit with its release, breaking records and maintaining a solid player base.

Biggest February releases to keep an eye on

Granblue Fantasy Relink has been stuck in development hell for years. Several delays later, we now have a fixed date. This adventure, based on a popular anime and gacha game, promises to be a wistful and gorgeous journey through a stunning anime-styled world.

Persona 3 Reload and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are also out in February, making this a busy month of stellar RPGs. While not fully sold on Rebirth, the P3 remake is hotly anticipated at VideoGamer.

March 2024 game releases

Depending on what you’re looking forward to, March was a fantastic month with the launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Unicorn Overlord. Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been a huge success for Capcom, jank and all. Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin was also released in March, marking the first open-world game from the studio.

Unicorn Overlord…

While the name leaves a lot to be desired, many are looking forward to this tactics-focused game from Vanillaware, a company many hold near and dear.

April 2024 game releases

As we make our way through the year, April has rolled around fairly quickly. Notable releases this month include Stellar Blade, a PS5 exclusive and No Rest for the Wicked. The latter game is being developed by the studio behind Ori and the Blind Forest and will be released into Early Access on Steam initially, with a console version planned.
