Another Code: Recollection story
13-year-old Ashley Mizuki Robbins and a strange ghost named D are in charge of tackling two mysteries across these legacy titles, now enhanced for Nintendo Switch. Her parents are Richard and Sayoko Robbins, researchers of human memory. They go missing and Ashley stays with her aunt for a while. That’s when she experiences nightmares and years later, she receives a package that is supposedly from her father. This kicks off the first title. The second game takes place two weeks after the first.
Another Code: Recollection gameplay
The remake is still a point-and-click adventure that tasks you with navigating 3D environments as you piece together clues to resolve mysteries. With new hints and navigation systems, new players can find clues and solve the mysteries within the collection without additional assistance. The game promises overhauled visuals, fully 3D explorable environments, and new voice acting. It’s certainly a step up from its predecessors. You can also expect unused scenarios and events in the remake.
Expect riddles that will have you sleuthing out clues from both objects and people. Brain-teasing puzzles can be tackled with the optional puzzle tips that let you progress in the story. Conversations can help you piece together solutions to puzzles. And the helpful DAS (Dual Another System) keeps track of useful information for you. This can also be used to keep track of relationships between important characters.
