It’s time for another Formula 1 season to begin, which means we can watch some high-octane action on the track, heated rivalries, and history being made. But it’s not just about the real-world racing. The F1 24 release date has been officially announced and we can’t wait to get on the grid and see what the new game has to offer!

EA Sports promises to get you closer to the grid than ever before, with improvements expected in the graphics, a new Dynamic Handling system revealed, and a Career Mode overhaul. So, are you ready to race again?

F1 24 release date

The F1 24 release date is May 31. This has been officially confirmed by EA Sports via a press release and accompanying announcement trailer. A full reveal will come in April, which will detail an overhauled Career Mode, the new EA Sports Dynamic Handling, additional features, and much more.

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t contain any gameplay. However, you can still check it out below:

How to get F1 24 early access

If you can’t wait for the worldwide release to jump onto the new game, then you can get on a few days sooner! The F1 24 early access release date is May 28. It is due to open at 10am ET / 4pm BST. 

To gain early access to F1 24 you will need to pre-order the Champions Edition of the game, which entitles you to three days of early access. If you are an EA Play member, you will also be eligible for a five-hour trial starting from May 28.

F1 24 pre-order

Fans were able to pre-order F1 24 from February 27. You can pre-order digital copies of F1 24 for PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation store, for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S from the Microsoft store, and on PC via the EA App, Epic Games, and Steam.

If you pre-order the Champions Edition before April 24, you will qualify for a special liveries offer in both F1 23 and F1 24! The 2024 liveries from McLaren, Alpine, Haas, and Williams will be available to play in a special F1 World Event in F1 23. Additional liveries will be added in F1 23 after April 24. Players will also receive the McLaren and Alpine 2023 F1 esports liveries, which will carry over to F1 24.

F1 24 editions

There are two editions of F1 24 being released, the Standard Edition and the Champions Edition. Each comes with various bonus content, with both including Dual Entitlement, so you can play across old-gen and new-gen platforms.

The pre-order bonuses for each edition are as follows:

Standard Edition

Champions Edition (digital exclusive)

  • 3 Days Early Access (from May 28)

F1 24 price

We have official confirmation of the F1 24 price for each platform and edition, which is as follows: 

  • Standard Edition on PlayStation and Xbox – £69.99
  • Standard Edition on PC – £59.99
  • Champions Edition on PlayStation and Xbox – £89.99
  • Champions Edition on PC – £79.99

As an EA Play Member, you can save 10% on pre-orders. If you own F1 2021, F1 22, or F1 23, you are eligible to receive a 15% discount on the game if purchased by May 31.

F1 24 platforms

F1 24 will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC via the EA App, Epic Games, and Steam.

Unfortunately, it will not be on Nintendo Switch.
