The Starfield cast and voice actors roster is, in step with much of Bethesda Studios’ RPG, massive. With over 200,000 lines of dialogue confirmed by game director Todd Howard, Starfield has a truly impressive list of actors to bring the game to life.

There are more than 1000 Starfield planets to explore, and hosts of Starfield companions and Starfield crew members to meet and adventure with. That means a universe filled with stories, flavour text to hold you immersed in the setting, and plenty of quests outside of the main Starfield story to keep you enthralled. We’ll cover all of the Starfield cast and voice actors we know have played a part in the game so far.

Here’s a list of all the confirmed and notable voice actors in Starfield. From the developers we’ve met during interviews and Starfield trailers, to Inon Zur, the composer behind the Starfield soundtrack, this game is the result of a monumental effort from a huge team of talented and passionate individuals.

Voice actors

Here are all the cast members, and the characters they lend their talents to.

• Emily O’Brien, voice for Sarah Morgan, leader of the Constellation faction.
• Barry Wiggins, voice of Barrett, one of the first members of Constellation you’ll meet.
• Elias Toufexis, voice of Sam Coe, a ranger from the Freestar Collective faction working for Constellation.
• Craig Sechler, voice for the Adoring Fan, a returning face from Elder Scrolls Oblivion. You can meet him by choosing the “Hero Worshipped” trait from the Starfield character creator.
• Cissy Jones, voicing Andreja, a mysterious new recruit for Constellation.
• Dana Gourrier, voicing Noel, Sarah Morgan’s protégé.
• Carlos Valdes, voice for Matteo Khatri, Constellation’s theologian.
• Armin Shimerman, voice of Walter Stroud, the wealthy financier for Constellation.
• Bumper Robinson, voicing Vlad the ex Crimson Fleet faction merc in the employ of Constellation.
• Jake Green, voice for VASCO, the robot companion you’ll meet during your time with Constellation.

Notable Starfield voice actors

While every actor and actress lending their talents to the project deserves praise, some of the cast are more notable than others, either due to their fame or, more commonly, due to previous involvement with Bethesda Game Studios. Let’s cover some of the big names from the confirmed list.

Dimitry Rozental

Hailing originally from Odesa in Ukraine, Dimitry Rozental has featured in multiple popular games and TV shows. He is probably most recognised for his work on Metro Exodus, but will also be known to fans of Call of Duty. We still aren’t sure who he’s voicing in Starfield, but we can expect a great performance regardless.

Elias Toufexis

Elias is one of the larger names we’re seeing come to Starfield. He’s got an impressive portfolio, having worked on both the silver screen and lent voice acting talents to other games before. On TV, his most notable performance so far is probably playing Kenzo on The Expanse. Across gaming, he’s provided the voice of Adam Jensen of the Deus Ex series, Garner in Back 4 Blood, and Oswald Cobbelpot in Gotham Knights, among many others.

He’s the voice for Sam Coe in Starfield. Sam is a former ranger and mercenary, currently working for the intrepid explorer group, Constellation. He’ll therefore be pretty close to the main story of the game. We also know that Sam is likely to be a potential companion, as well as an option for Starfield romance.

Victoria Atkin

Victoria Atkin has been seemingly confirmed as appearing in Starfield thanks to an entry on her IMDb page, but we still aren’t sure yet who exactly she will provide the voice for. What we do know is that she has some pedigree behind her, having provided voices in games like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Fortnite

Emily O’Brien

As lead voice actress for one of the most important NPCs you’ll meet in game, there’s plenty riding on Emily O’Brien’s performance. Luckily, it’s a task her previous experience proves her well-suited for. She’s worked on numerous other games before, voicing Amelie in Death Stranding, Gamora in Guardians of The Galaxy: A Telltale Series, and Scarlet Witch in Marvel Midnight Suns, among others.

Stephen Oyoung

Stephen Oyoung is another previous Bethesda actor, speculated to be making a return for Starfield. While he’s also held a number of minor roles in movies and TV, like a technician named Curtis in Terminator Dark Fate, he’s most well known in this context for his talents voicing Pierce in Fallout 76, as well as voicing Martin Li in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

There was a lot of initial speculation that he’d be voicing Barrett, the first explorer in Constellation that players will meet in-game. This turned out to be untrue, however. He’s voicing a collective number of various background NPCs, bringing a sense of life and flavour into major locations across the game. Alongside other Bethesda veterans, his experience will no doubt be put to good use.

Cissy Jones

Cissy has provided talents for a number of games previously. They’ve voiced for Firewatch as Dellah, voiced Katjaa in Telltale: The Walking Dead, and Annie Knowby in Evil Dead: The Game, just to name a few. They’ll voice Andreja for Starfield, although we don’t know much about this character at all yet.

Dana Gourrier

Dana Gourrier has played a number of roles both on and off-screen. She voiced Rose Chapman in Detroit: Become Human, played Cora in Django Unchained, and Minnie Mink in The Hateful Eight. We expect her performance as Noel in Starfield to be standout.

Armin Shimerman

Alongside Elias, Armin Shimerman is likely one of the biggest names in the Starfield cast roster. He’s worked voicing for videogame characters before with the likes of Doctor Nefarious in Ratchet & Clank, and of course Andrew Ryan in Bioshock. But he’s probably best known for his performance as Quark in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. His previous work makes him an excellent fit for Starfield, and we can’t wait to see his portrayal of Walter Stroud.

Stephen Russel

Russel’s appearance on the cast list was speculated by many fans, and it makes sense as to why. The talented actor has quite a history with Bethesda studios. He’s taken on roles in both the Fallout and Skyrim universes, lending his voice to Codsworth, Nick Valentine, and Belethor, just to name a few.

He’s taking on a significant role in Starfield, voicing not one, but three characters you’ll meet during your journeys through various Starfield missions. Captain Petrov, Larry Dumbrosky, and Victor Aiza are all voiced by Russel.
