Is Lethal Company on Xbox or PlayStation?

As of the time of writing, Lethal Company has not been released on any console platforms. The game initially released in Early Access on Steam in October, and is developed by solo developer Zeekerss. It’s unlikely that Zeekerss was expecting anywhere near the level of success and popularity that the game has garnered so far, hence why its currently small-scale development has been limited to PC alone.

As such, whether you’re a PS5, Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch player, you and your crewmates are going to have to make do with completing your quotas on the Steam version of the game.

Will Lethal Company come to console in the future?

There is no news as of yet as to whether or not the co-op horror game will be coming to consoles, but we would be surprised if it didn’t. Zeekerss has stated that the early access period is scheduled to take roughly six months, adding new moons, rewards, items, and more, at which point the game will fully release. Perhaps at that point, we might get an official announcement of a console version.

When does Early Access end?

We don’t know when exactly early access will end, but our best guess is around April 2024, with Early Access initially scheduled to last six months.

Given the game’s popularity, there will no doubt be more calls for the game to be ported to consoles, and we could certainly see a console release in line with the game’s release on PC. Having said that, until we hear some concrete information on the subject, the answer is simply that we don’t know.

According to Zeekerss, the focus for now is to add more features to the game. In a news post, they said “I want Lethal Company to be so full of creatures, items, customization, and map variations that it feels “infinitely replayable”. This is the type of game that benefits from being full of stuff. Besides that, I want to iron out most glitches and tighten the game’s design and difficulty so it can be enjoyed by new and experienced players alike.”

Given the game’s focus on communication and how important proximity voice chat is to playing, we think that there might be some questions as to how well the game would transfer over to console. Unless you have a mic, communicating with your team would be difficult, and for that reason we do think it’s somewhat unlikely. However, stranger things have happened after all.
