Alex is a Guides Writer for VideoGamer. He is an indie gaming obsessive with a soft spot for Zelda, roguelikes, and Football Manager, as well as an unhealthy relationship with his backlog.

Summary Alex joined VideoGamer in May 2023 after getting his start writing as a freelancer for websites like PCGamesN, The Loadout, and more. Before joining VideoGamer, Alex was a Social Media Coordinator for a games industry recruitment company. He has a Masters in Philosophy and a Bachelors in International Relations and Politics, both from the University of Sheffield. Experience After leaving university, Alex worked as a Social Media Coordinator for a games industry recruitment company, running social media channels, covering events such as Gamescom and Develop:Brighton, and writing blogposts about gaming. Having also run his own personal blog for a few months, he began writing freelance guides and features alongside his full-time role for websites like PCGamesN, The Loadout, and more, before joining the VideoGamer team in May 2023. Education Alex has received a Master of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Politics, both from the University of Sheffield. During this time, he also spent a year studying Political Science and German at the University of Mannheim in Germany.
