It might be billed as a pretty terrifying co-op horror game, but Lethal Company certainly doesn’t take itself too seriously, so it’s no surprise that beyond the walkie-talkies and proximity voice chat, developer Zeekerss has added in a couple of emotes for players to use. Luckily, they’re simple to use, so we’ll tell you exactly how with our quick guide.

How to use emotes in Lethal Company
There are two different emotes in Lethal Company at the time of writing. These are a dance, and a point, which will make your character point forwards. Using these emotes is simply a matter of pressing either the 1 or 2 button on your keyboard. Pressing the 1 key perform the dance emote, while pressing the 2 key will perform the point emote.
Alex’s Advice
Emotes can actually be useful in gameplay. Some monsters respond to sound from your microphone, so using the point emote every now and again can signify danger without risking being heard.
Currently, these are the only two emotes in the game right now. We don’t have any news on whether any more emotes will be added to the game, but with plenty of time left during its early access phase, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more. Updates are coming fairly regularly, and with a whole host of content on the way, perhaps more emotes will be on the cards, especially during weeks with less content-heavy updates. It’s one of our favorite features, so would love to see it added to.
