Dragon’s Dogma 2 Bay Wayside Shrine location
The Bay Wayside Shrine can be found on a peninsula to the north of the city of Bakbattahl on the eastern coast of Battahl. To get to the Bay Wayside Shrine, the easiest way to do it is to follow these steps:
- Take the northernmost exit out of Bakbattahl
- Follow this road down to the sea until you reach a crossroads
- Take the left path and follow it around until you reach a broken wooden bridge
- Cross over the bridge and enter the cave directly ahead of you
- Enter the cave and keep to the left until you find the Bay Wayside Shrine and the Dragonforged

Depending on your progress, you may find a group of people located on the coastal area nearby, with a man named Ambrosius stopping you to ask for some help. If you complete the first part of this quest, which only takes a minute or two, you will get a quest marker showing you exactly where the Bay Wayside Shrine is.

Despite its out-of-the-way location, Flickering Shadows is a main story quest, and helping Ambrosius will net you some very important information, so it’s worth doing while you’re here.
What can you get from the Bay Wayside Shrine?
The Bay Wayside Shrine is home to the Dragonforged who will sell you certain items in exchange for Wyrmslife Crystals. These can be obtained from killing drakes and dragons and can be swapped for some powerful items.
When you first meet him, you can only buy Portcrystals, Ferrystones, and Unmaking Arrows from him. However, later on in the game, you’ll earn the ability to buy some powerful end-game armour, so it’s worth hanging on to your Wyrmslife Crystals for now unless you’re in desperate need of a new fast travel location.
