Dragon’s Dogma 2 Jasper is one of the many items and resources you’ll hoover up as you explore Vermund. It’s also quite rare and carries a hefty price if sold. As with many things in the game, DD2 doesn’t offer up much in terms of what to do with Jasper. Even the item description is light on clues. Is it worth selling, do you need it for crafting, or should you stockpile the gem?

We’ll walk you through what to do with Jasper in DD2. For more Dragon’s Dogma 2 help, check out our DD2 tips and tricks beginner’s guide, how to get the Eternal Wakestone, and how to get Miasmite.

What to do with Jasper in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Jasper is not used in any crafting recipes or combinations and exists to be sold at vendors and merchants, or given to NPCs as a gift to raise affinity.

Jasper is found in chests out in the world, especially those found near exclamation marks, or given as a reward for completing quests. If you come across any, keep them safe as when sold Jasper carries a different value depending on where you are – there’s a major hint in the item description.

You’ll want to sell Jasper at vendors in Battahl, where the gem is highly coveted and in scarce supply. Instead of the 800 gold you’d get in Vermund or Sacred Arbor, you’ll bank a hefty 2800 gold per Jasper. Keep them in your storage at an Inn or your house in Vernworth (if you bought one) until you land in Battahl.

That’s all there is to Jasper. For more guides, check out how to get a preserved Medusa head in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and our full Claw Them Into Shape quest walkthrough.
