Players will be relieved to know that Dragon’s Dogma 2, the new RPG from Capcom, does indeed offer New Game Plus. If you want to pursue quests that you had failed earlier, this is the best way to do it with your equipment intact. Read on to know when you can unlock it and what carries over from a previous save.

How to unlock New Game Plus in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Once you finish Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can either continue from your last save, your last inn rest, or start New Game Plus. Popups explain what you’ll retain and what you’ll lose as you make the jump to NG+. Read them all to ensure that you know what you’re getting into.
The second popup asks you to “rethink your decision” while the third one asks you “Are you quite sure?” Finally, the fourth popup will let you enter New Game Plus. The game treats this like a point of no return as you start a new playthrough. While Dragon’s Dogma 2’s New Game Plus can be unlocked by any of its endings, pursue its true ending to get the most complete version.
What carries over in New Game Plus in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Fortunately, a good portion of your progress is carried over in New Game Plus. Your current experience across vocations, current level, skills, and most of your inventory will make the leap intact. This includes any Seeker Tokens and Golden Trove Beetles you’ve found. You’ll keep your skills progress, but any weapon skills will need to be re-equipped.
Your map will also show all the areas you’ve uncovered earlier. And your main Pawn will return to duty as you’d expect. But don’t expect your quest progress to show up in New Game Plus. You’ll have to place Portcrystals in the mode again and get hired pawns once more too. Consider changing your appearance for your second playthrough with the Art of Metamorphosis in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How to get your equipment in DD2’s New Game Plus mode
While NG+ starts you off at the same Battahl camp, proceed as you did all those hours ago. Reach an inn like the one on the Borderwatch and you’ll be able to retrieve your items from its storage. A new update will bring a “Start New Game” option if you want to start a regular playthrough instead.
Try new vocations on your New Game Plus run
Your discipline points will let you start off with powerful skills, meaning that you don’t have to hesitate over switching classes in the game.
Does New Game Plus offer a Hard Mode difficulty in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Unfortunately, New Game Plus keeps all the monsters at the same difficulty level. This means that you will be able to handily beat monsters like Medusa and other bosses who may have been a chore on your first playthrough.
That covers New Game Plus in DD2. The end of the game can still offer plenty of things to do for Dragon’s Dogma 2 players. Go back and complete quests that you didn’t pursue last time, meet new characters, or simply breeze through old foes.
