Assassin’s Creed Mirage Khidmah Tokens – how to get and use favor tokens

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Khidmah Tokens are a secondary currency used to bribe, reduce notoriety, draft in favors during assassinations, unlock chests, reduce prices, and buy certain items. They’ll be more or less useful depending on your playstyle, but are well worth picking whenever you get the chance, especially as they are fairly hard to come by.

What are Khidmah Tokens

In Assassin’s Khidmah Tokens are divided into three categories with each one corresponding to a particular faction:

• Merchant Tokens – represented by three spears
• Scholar Tokens – represented by a feather
• Power Tokens – represented by a minaret tower

These factions will provide services to Basim in exchange for Favor Tokens. Here’s how you can use each Token type:

Merchant Tokens

• Used to open Token chests, represented by a green Token when you approach one
• Pay merchant groups so that Basim can blend in among them to remain anonymous and enter restricted areas
• Used to get shop discounts at vendors
• Unique favors during assassination events
• Bribes

Scholar Tokens

• Used to pay Musicians to play music and attract guards
• Buy maps (Enigmas, Lost Books, and Gear Chests) at the Cartographer in the Round City.
• Unique favors during assassination events
• Bribes

Power Tokens

• Pay mercenaries to attack guards
• Bribe town crier Munadi to lower Basim’s notoriety
• Unique favors during assassination events
• Bribes

How to get Tokens in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

There are two ways to get Token in Assassin’s Creed Mirage:

• Complete Contracts
• Pickpocketing
• Lost Books

You can check how many Khidmah Tokens you currently have at any time by opening the character menu and looking on the right of the screen. Alternatively, open up the Inventory tab of the character menu and open your Bag in the top left to see your current Tokens under Resources. 

Complete Contracts

Contracts are available at each of the four Hidden Ones Bureaus in Baghdad – Harbiyah Bureau, Abbasiyah Bureau, Karkh Bureau, and Sharqiyah Bureau. The Contracts board is on the wall next to the door. The board displays different contract types, such as escort missions, thieving missions, liberation missions, assassination missions, and delivery missions. 

Each individual contract rewards two Tokens from the specific faction you’re helping, plus the possibility of two extra Tokens for completing optional ‘Contractor Request’ objectives. These optional objectives typically involve not killing anyone, not taking any damage, remaining undetected, or other mission specific variants, for example winning the race if you take on The Marked Coins contract.

Pickpocketing

The second way to get Tokens in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is by picking them from the pockets of passersby. This method is a lot less reliable as pickpocketing doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get a Token. Often, you’ll get Dirham (money) or trade goods like a feather or dice. It’s worth pickpocketing whenever you get the opportunity just in case the drop is a Token though.

Lost Books

You can also get Scholar Tokens for returning Lost Books to Al-Jahiz in the House of Wisdom in Yasiriyah, Abbasiyah. He’ll reward you with one Scholar Token per Lost Book you return. Check out all the Lost Books locations across Baghdad and the Wilderness
