Want to know how to upgrade Outfits in AC Mirage? Outfits are effectively your armour in AC Mirage, but equipping armour doesn’t necessarily reduce damage, instead, Outfits have Perk bonuses that grant you various buffs.
You’ll want to spend your resources upgrading your Outfits since this is how you unlock and improve the passive abilities on them. The more you upgrade, the more you enhance the Perk for each Outfit you have. Due to this, every Outfit in the game is useful for different occasions, some specialising in stealth and others on other survivability.
Elsewhere in Assassin’s Creed, you should read our guides on notoriety in AC Mirage and how to get the Abbasiyah gear chest in the Four Markets in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Now, here is how to upgrade your outfits in AC Mirage.
How to upgrade Outfits in AC Mirage
To upgrade an Outfit in AC Mirage, you will need to spend Steel Ingots, Leather, and upgrade schematics. Bring these items to a Tailor and you will see the option to upgrade your gear. You can do this at any Tailor in the game.
If you are short on any materials you need, you can find them in the world or buy them from various Traders, while upgrade schematics can only be found in chests and completing quests. Every Outfit can be upgraded two times and will start at upgrade level one when you obtain it. Due to the differences in Perks between each Outfit, you will find that each Outfit you have an upgrade will be more useful for certain situations.
As you can see, you only equip one piece of armour, which is your whole outfit. There is no obvious defence stat in AC Mirage, which means you should equip the Outfit you want based on the Perk bonus it provides. For example, the Initiate of Alamut Outfit has the Silent Blade Perk, which reduces the amount of noise Basim emits during assassinations. After you upgrade this Outfit twice, assassinations will be 100% quieter.
Leather and Steel Ingots are found around the map and you will use them for almost everything when it comes to upgrading your gear, including your weapons. Outside of Outfits, which will change your entire appearance, you can also equip Costumes, which are purely cosmetic things. If you have a Perk you like the most, equip that armour and then if you have a Costume you prefer the look of, equip that to give yourself your favourite fashion appearance at all times.
That’s everything you need to know about how to upgrade your Outfits in AC Mirage. If you want more guides, make sure you read our review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage to hear our impressions of the game.
