How to assassinate enemies in AC Mirage

When you are near an enemy, you can press R1 to trigger an assassination in AC Mirage. Before you can assassinate someone in AC Mirage, you need to have the Hidden Blade, which is the iconic weapon gained from the story quest where Basim becomes a fully-fledged assassin of the order.

When this happens, you will see a new prompt appear above enemies when you are near them – press R1 to trigger an assassination. It seems that only enemy guards and other people who are specifically foes can be assassinated this way, which means no hidden-blading the poor civilians of Baghdad.

One quality of life feature in Mirage that is extremely helpful is that if you trigger an assassination from behind cover, Basim will emerge from cover, stab the target, and stealthily bring them back behind the cover where you were hiding. This means you won’t be leaving bodies out in the open to be discovered. Since AC Mirage is being billed as more of a stealth game, this function is a great addition to helping you stay undetected. You can perform an assassination in AC Mirage from behind cover, when hiding in bushes, from above, and from being behind an enemy.

That’s all you need to know about assassinating with the Hidden Blade in AC Mirage. If you want to find out more, read our AC Mirage review and our guide on notoriety in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
