All Assassin’s Creed Mirage Lost Books locations

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Al-Jahiz’s Lost Books are an optional collectible found in Ubisoft’s latest entry in the storied franchise. You’ll find the books fairly evenly around Baghdad and in the deserted Wilderness to the north and south of the city. Bringing them back to Al-Jahiz, the book collector, for The Bookworm quest rewards you with Scholar Tokens, the Monstrous Talisman, and the Scholar Costume. For each of the Lost Books you find, you’ll also receive one skill point.

We’ll pinpoint the location of all seven AC Mirage Al-Jahiz’s Lost Books below. To help tracking them down, you might want to head to the Cartographer map vendor in the centre of the Round City. There you can buy maps with Scholar Tokens that reveal the location of Lost Books. Abbasiyah Lost Books locations

Here’s the location of the one Lost Book in Abbasiyah:

Abbasiyah Lost Books 1 – Al-Kwarizmi: Al-Jabr

• Location: north of the House of Wisdom and west of the Observatory

Inside the last building (the one with a stone gazebo on the roof) before the river Tigris runs under the city’s outer walls. Break through the front door with a standard attack then shift the movable shelf and head upstairs to find the book on 

Karkh Lost Books locations

Here’s the location of the one Lost Book in Karkh:

Karkh Lost Books 1 – The Banu Musa: Book of Ingenious Devices

• Location: just northwest of the Harbor Camp

In the last building where the river meets the sea next to the Harbor Camp, climb up to the wooden balcony and shoot a throwing knife through the window to destroy the window on the other side of the building. Head inside to find the book on a desk.

Round City Lost Books locations

Here’s the location of the one Lost Book in Karkh:

Round City Books 1 – Al-Sikkit: Diwan Abu Nu’as

• Location: inside the Palace of the Green Dome at the centre of the Round City

The Lost Book is on the same floor as the library where you have to solve Qabiha’s hidden chamber book puzzle. The door is locked. To get a key you’ll need to bribe the servant during The Serpent’s Nest main story quest.

Alternatively, there’s an open window you use to access the room. It’s on the eastern side of the palace. Check the image above for the exact location. Head inside and grab the Lost Book off the desk on the right of the room.

Harbiyah Lost Books locations

Here’s the location of the two Lost Book in Karkh:

Harbiyah Lost Books 1 – Al-Tabari: Tafsir of al-Tabari

• Location: underground west of the Nestorian Monastery in Zubaydiyah, north Harbiyah

Head to the Lost Books marker on your map, then head south up the leaning cart and over two walls, until you spot stairs leading underground to a secret entrance. Head down, move the shelves, then squeeze through the gap in the wall. Follow the path to find the Lost Book on a desk. You can open the barred down and exit through the well.

Harbiyah Lost Books 2 – Kalila wa-Dimna

• Location: in a house southwest of the Great Mosque in the Quadrangle of the Persians in southwest Harbiyah

Go to the marker on the map and you’ll come to a house with locked front and back doors. Head around the back and hop into the open window on the second floor. Go down the stairs and shoot the red fire pot near the back door to break the lock. Enter the house through the back door and grab the Lost Book on the desk.

Wilderness Lost Books locations

Here’s the location of the one Lost Book in Karkh:

Wilderness Lost Books 1 – Suleiman al-Tajir: Accounts of China and India

• Location: Tuesday Market, next to the Pomegranate Gate, on the border between the Wilderness South and Karkh

The Tuesday Market is guarded and a restricted zone, so be cautious. Climb up to the second floor via the stairs on the southern side of the building. Enter through the door, kill the guard inside, and you’ll find the Lost Book on a desk.

Lost Books 7 – Kitab al-Azif, the Book of the Dead

This one isn’t ever marked on the map and doesn’t appear in the activity/collectibles list for any of the regions. It’s located in the swamp in the southeastern corner of the map in the Wilderness South. It’s east of the Jarjaraya fast travel viewpoint. You’ll find some crumbling ruins there.

Climb up the ladder and grab one of the explosive pots then aim it at the breakable floor near the centre of the ruins. Grab the Lost Book from the now-accessible pit.
