Want to know how to skip Chapter 1 Nibelheim in FF7 Rebirth? If you’ve played the demo, which takes you through the opening Fall of a Hero flashback at the mako reactor and Sephiroth destroying the Nibelheim village, then there’s the option to skip ahead. But, there’s a few hoops to jump through to press ahead with the main story and save some time.

We’ll explain how to skip chapter 1 Nibelheim in FF7 Rebirth. For more help in the ambitious remake, check out how long is FF7 Rebirth to beat, all the Trophies and Achievements list, and will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth come to PC?

How to skip Nibelheim in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To skip Nibelheim in FF 7 Rebirth, you’ll need to have played through the demo and still have the save data from the data on the same PS5 that you’re using to play the full game. If you deleted the save data or haven’t played the demo, then there’s no way to skip ahead and you’ll need to play through Chapter 1.

Load up FF7 Rebirth and once you reach the main menu (and before launching a new game), scroll down to Bonuses then select Check Save Data. After a short wait, it will retrieve your save data and bag the Kupo Charm and Survival set bonuses obtained for playing through the demo.

From there, start a new game and press on until you reach Nibelheim, at which point you’ll get a pop-up prompt giving you the option to skip chapter 1. Tap Yes and you’ll jump ahead. The prompt doesn’t come up immediately. You’ll need to push on until after you rest in the inn.

If you skip ahead, you won’t miss anything as the section is the same as what’s in the demo. The skip drops you just after Sephiroth attacks Nibelheim.

That’s all there is to skip Nibelheim in FF7. We also have guides covering whether Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a sequel, and whether Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is on Xbox, keeping in mind it is a PS5 exlusive.
