Guard of the North armor set – best early game armor set

The Guard of the North armor set is one of the best early-game sets as it can be found fairly early on and is found in fixed chest locations in Pikemead’s Reach. With a broad range of stats, it works more or less with all build types up to a point.

To make things easier, the gear locations also appear on the map with A Scattered Legacy question mark quest markers. As an added benefit, finding the full set unlocks the Pieces of the Past achievement.

Guard of the North Helmet

• Level: 13
• Physical resistance: 18 
• Magical Resistance: 18 
• Special Effects: -45s maximum time in the shroud, +13% critical strike chance
• Location: The Pike, Pikemead’s Reach

The Guard of the North Helmet is found in a chest located inside a chest perched on a ledge in the easternmost tower of The Pike in Pikemead’s Reach. You’ll need to defeat the Fell Wispwyvern to get the key to the castle or alternatively glide onto the platform from the cliff east of the castle. Check the map above for the exact spot.

Guard of the North Pants

The Guard of the North Pants are found in a chest in an underground Shroud area in Pike’s Port. Run along the battlements until you see a hole in the ground. Hop down and across the red lava river and loot the chest in the corner. Map above for the location.

Guard of the North Gloves

• Location: Huckster Square, Pikemead’s Reach

The Guard of the North gloves are located in a chest by the locked gate just north of the Huckster Square Elixir Well. There’s a Fell Thunderbrute in the area as well, so either dash in and grab the gear or take out the Root and Brute first. Check the map above for the exact location.

Guard of the North Boots

• Location: Shanty Shacks, Pikemead’s Reach

The Guard of the North Boots are found in a chest at the top of the tower in the southeastern corner of the Shanty Shacks, Pickemead’s Reach. There’s no major enemies or obstacles other than getting up the tower, but that’s easy enough thanks to a grappling hook tether about halfway up. The exact location is in the image above.

Guard of the North Chestplate

The Guard of the North Chestplate is found in the southeast of the Imperial Gardens in the network of basements that runs underneath a small town square with a tree at the centre. Radiant Paladin armor set, Eagle Eye armor set, and Elder armor set – best late game armor sets

The Radian Paladin, Eagle Eye, and Elder armor sets are very much late game options – level 25 sets to be precise – and are hands down the best armor sets in Enshrouded. Unlike the Guard of the North, these sets are random drops from chests in the late-game Kindlewastes region in the southeast of the map. The Radian Paladin is geared towards a melee tank build, Eagle Eye towards a ranged build, and Elder towards a magic build.

To track them down, ou’ll want to find the Sun Temple in the very southeastern corner of the map, set up a Flame Altar nearby, and repeatedly farm the chests inside by quitting and reloading your save. Eventually, you’ll gather the full sets, which have the following stats:
