Want to know how to get Wax in Enshrouded? Though Wax isn’t the most sought after resource in the game, it’s still used for some crucial upgrades, in particular upgrading your Flame Altar to level 3 to unlock access to more enshrouded areas across the map. As with many materials in Enshrouded, you’re very much left to your own devices to figure out where to get Wax, leaving you to explore in the hope of stumbling on some in the early game.

To save you that hassle, we’ll explain how to get Wax in Enshrouded and share a few spots where you can get it close to the starting base area in the Springlands. If you’re in need of other early game resources, check out how to get Shroud Cores, how to get twig, and how to get Flintstone.

Where to find Wax in Enshrouded

To get Wax in Enshrouded, you’ll need to harvest bee hives that are found hanging from trees throughout the map. In keeping with their real world equivalent, beehives in Enshrouded are white masses shaped like an elongated sphere and easily spotted hanging from branches.

To harvest a beehive, simply walk up to it and press E when prompted then loot the x1 Wax that drops to the ground. Beehives also drop x1 Honey, which is worth grabbing as well whenever you’re farming Wax.

Where to farm Wax

There are three bee hives spots in and around the starting Flame Altar north of the Cinder Vault. The first is in the hills just east of the Flame Altar. The bee hive is sitting on the floor here, acting as a tutorial for harvesting the crafting material. Check the image above for the exact spot.

The second bee hive spawns on a tree between Longkeep and the Braelyn Bridge. The image above should take you right to it.

Lastly, the third spot is on a tree almost immediately north of the Flame Altar. Once again, take a look at the image above for the precise location on the map.

Note that like many resources and materials found out in the open world, bee hives and, therefore, Wax, respawn whenever you exit the game and reload your save. So don’t hesitate to abuse this quirk when farming Wax, at least until its patched.
