Mercy Reach dungeon – Fractured Peaks

The Mercy Reach dungeon is found in the Silvered Edgelands north of Sarkova Pass in Fractured Peaks. From the Menestad Waypoint, head north along the main road towards Scosglen. The dungeon is down a dead-end path jutting off the northeast.

Mercy Reach is a solid farming option because it’s a relatively small dungeon with a simple layout and a few shrines to boost your combat effectiveness scattered around. It features three Knight Hunter elite enemies not far from the entrance that regularly drops legendary items and grants a hefty chunk of experience. It’s easily one of the best dungeons to farm in Diablo 4.

Alongside, the dungeon has several normal chests and the odd resplendent chest that, in our experience, have decent loot, including rare and the odd legendary weapons and items. For the best results, we suggest making a beeline for the first group of three elites, defeating them, waiting for the dungeon to reset, then rinsing and repeating.

Forbidden City – Fractured Peaks

The Forbidden City dungeon sits in the Western Ways in the northwest of Sarkova Pass in Fractured Peaks. If you portal into the Menestad Waypoint, head north out of the settlement and the bear northeast. You’ll find the dungeon in a small cul-de-sac built into the rock face there.

Forbidden is a tad more circuitous than Mercy Reach. But you can carve out a regular route peppered with up to three Enraged Spirit Spirited Knights and Animus Carriers. They drop rare and legendaries. In addition, the shrine has the odd Cursed Shrine event. Defeat waves of enemies to unlock a Greater Radiant chest that typically contains a legendary.

For optimal results, we recommend hunting down and killing the three first Spirited Knight elites. Then exit the dungeon, wait for a reset, then repeat. You can push through to the dungeon boss. But the rewards aren’t worth the extra effort and time in our opinion.

Champion’s Demise – Dry Steppes

For those who’ve ventered beyond the relative safety of the Fractured Peaks into the Dry Steppes, the Champion’s Demise dungeon offer prime XP farm and legendary farm opportunities. The Diablo 4 Champion’s Demise dungeon is in the southeast of the Untamed Scarps subregion. This is in the Dry Steppes region of Sanctuary. It’s east of Jirandai, south of Ked Bardu, and west of the Ruins of Qara-Yisu Stronghold. This is among the best dungeons to farm in Diablo 4.

What makes Champion’s Demise so worthwhile is that it’s infested with large groups of enemies, consisting of marauder goat men and spiders. They are absolutely everywhere in the dungeon, which makes even a single run worthwhile if you’re after big XP gains. Alongside, the dungeon has a mini-activity.

It requires you to carry three Stone Carvings to a pedestal to unlock the boss room. Finding the carvings isn’t all that tough. The dungeon layout is made up of three paths that jut out from the pedestal. Bringing back all three spawns two Cairn Defiler Slayer of Champions elite monsters. They tend to drop at least one legendary item between them.

We recommend jumping into, searching for the carvings, killing as many mobs as you can as you go, and then taking out the elites. Avoid the boss as the gains aren’t all that interesting and simply reset the dungeon, then repeat the loop.

These dungeons should set you up nicely to snag a hefty amount of XP, loot, and gold. Anica’s Claim Dungeon is locked behind the Stronghold Malnok in the Fractured Peaks. It’s another choice if you want to fill your inventory and stash with power items. The world boss Ashava also drops an incredible amount of loot.

Tips to farm experience and gear in addition to dungeons

Using Murmuring Obols to get a Whispering Key to open Silent Chests helps you get high-level gear and armour as a beginner. It’s a gamble but unwanted items can be sold or turned to salvage. Finding Treasure Goblins, Greed Shrines, or taking part in Helltides are also great ways of earning more loot and armor instead of the occasional side quest. These are applicable to all of Diablo 4’s classes: Rogue, Sorcerer, Barbarian, Druid, and Necromancer.
