Wondering how to skip the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 1? With some content locked behind completing the campaign, you might want to skip it to get to that late-game content as soon as possible.

If you’re starting a playthrough with a new character, you might be interested in trying out the best Diablo 4 Rogue build, or the best Diablo 4 Barbarian build to help quickly power through to the late game.

Can you skip the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 1?

You can skip the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 1 only after you’ve beaten it once on another character. Once you’ve beaten the game on one character, you can head to the character creation screen to begin making a new character. Once you’ve finalised your character, you’ll be presented with the Skip Campaign option. This will allow the player to start the game and progress how they want, without any barriers from the campaign.

When skipping the campaign at the character selection screen, your new character will immediately start in the Kyovashad waypoint with several skill points, gold, and murmuring obols available. This means that your alts won’t have access to the story quests of Diablo IV. You won’t be able to make use of Diablo 4 Malignant Hearts against campaign bosses like the final boss Lilith. But you can access your current story progress in adventure mode from an existing character and access endgame features once you complete the story objectives as a reward.

While there isn’t too much, there are some areas and pieces of content which are locked behind campaign progression in your initial playthrough. By skipping the campaign in subsequent playthroughs, you can do whatever you want from the start, letting you build up a new character much faster than you could do originally.

What perks will I get if I skip the campaign in Diablo 4?

Remember that the Diablo 4 renown you’ve earned via Altars of Lilith and discovering areas will remain. But you’ll have to complete side quests, Strongholds, and Dungeons again. This is important if you want to get those sweet Diablo 4 healing potion charges, paragon points, and extra skill points. You can head into endgame content like Diablo 4 Whispers of the Dead from the Tree of Whispers and Nightmare Dungeons right away.

It also grants you access to Diablo 4 Season 1 content like Malignant Tunnels. But remember that you’ll have to access them from the seasonal realm and not the eternal realm that your old characters are situated in. This means you’ll need to create a new seasonal character to access new side content.

Unfortunately, this does mean that if you’re a new player and you simply want to avoid the campaign from the start, you’ll be unable to do that. Your first playthrough won’t let you hit the skip campaign button. The Diablo 4 skip feature is exclusive to players who have experienced the game’s story. With some of our Diablo 4 tips for beginners, you should be well on your way to beating that campaign.
