Rise of the Ronin – how to get Ally weapons and armour

The best way we’ve found to get Companion (or Ally) weapons and armour in Rise of the Ronin is by clearing the main Ronin Missions and Bond Missions. Some armour sets are tied specifically to completing the final Bond Mission for each companion, while you can earn others by raising your Bond rank.

Technically, these two things go hand-in-hand, but some companions will give you special items when you reach rank four Bond with them. The best way to raise your Bond rank is to ply your companions with gifts, while also completing Bond Missions.

As you can see in the image below, we’ve unlocked the Bond Mission for Edward Sallow and the reward for completing this mission is his outfit. Another example is Sana Chiba – we were gifted her unique polearm and amour set after clearing her final Bonds Mission.

It should be noted that some Bond Missions won’t be available until much later in the game and your relationship with some Bond character can change. If you romance a character, you will also get a unique accessory from them, which will be different depending on who you romance.
