How to get more Medicinal Pills in Rise of the Ronin

To get more Medicinal Pills in Rise of the Ronin you must unlock specific skills from each skill tree. Several skills will increase the number of Medicinal Pills you can hold at any time, giving you access to more healing in a fight.

The skill has the same name across each tree. In the Strength tree, you want the skill called Refill (Medicinal Pills). This adds one Medicinal Pill to your total and it is the third skill down on the left.

In the Dexterity skill tree, the Refill skill is found in the left column under Ninjitsu. It is the fourth skill down. This can only be upgraded once. In the Charm tree, you can find the Refill skill in the first column at the very bottom under ‘Blade Flash’. This skill only has one level.

The final skill is in the Intellect tree, once again, the skill is called Refill (Medicinal Pills). This version of the skill can be upgraded twice, giving you even more Medicinal Pills.

By unlocking all of these skills, you can have a total of 10 Medicinal Pills at any given time. You should keep in mind you always need a supply of Medicinal Pills in your storage to restock them at Banners.

How to enhance Medicinal Pills in Rise of the Ronin

Now that you’ve got Medicinal Pills coming out of your ears, you should also upgrade the amount of HP they restore. To do this, you need to level certain Ally Bonds and unlock specific skills that pertain to increasing Medicinal Pill efficacy.

In the Intellect skill tree under the ‘Healing Art’ column, you can find the Increase Efficacy (Medicine) skill. This skill requires Rare Skill Points to unlock and it can be enhanced five times. At max rank, your Medicinal Pills will restore an extra 16% of HP when used.

To increase healing potency through your Bonds, you will need to first meet Ine Kusumoto. Ine is located in the Edo region and when you level her Bond you will unlock Increased Efficacy (Medicine) at each Bond rank with her.

Another Ally who can increase your Medicinal Pill healing is Yukichi Fukuzawa. Similarly to Ine, he will grant a bonus to healing at each Bond level. This is also the case for Shosaku Narasaki, Ryo Narasaki, and Alexandria Moreau.
