How to save your game
To save your game in Rise of the Ronin, press start and press R1 to change to the System tab. From here, go down and select Save in the menu. This will bring up the save menu where you can overwrite saves or make new ones. That’s all there is to it. As you can see in the image above, you have plenty of save slots to choose from and you can load any of them if you want.
Does Rise of the Ronin have autosave?
Yes, Rise of the Ronin does have an autosave feature. The autosave is also entirely separate from manual saves, which is great for any reloading you want to do. However, you should always remember to make a manual save before big events or starting quests, simply to have a hard backup. There is no risk of losing progress and dying in Rise of the Ronin doesn’t hinder you much at all.
It should be noted, however, that you can’t load your game from the start menu. To load another save file, you must quit out of the game and then select the file you want to load from the main menu in the ‘Load’ option.
