Dragon’s Dogma 2 all boss monsters and creatures

There are a lot of different boss monsters you will find throughout your playthrough. These monsters stand out due to their stature and the large health bar that appears at the top of the screen. While fighting these monsters, you will want to aim for the weak spots so you can take them down quickly. Some of them can only be damaged by hitting their weak spots.

Each creature you fight offers its own challenge so be sure to come up with creative ways to deal with your problems. Whether it is a rattler or a troll, always have your guard up. Here are the boss monsters you can encounter including new monsters.

Medusa/Gorgon

You will fight a Gorgon at the start of the game but you can find another later on. This elite enemy is not one that you want to take lightly. After all, its gaze can easily petrify you if you aren’t careful, leading to a very unfortunate event. Even the most skilled fighter can fall victim to this curse.

Griffin

Griffins are surprisingly common in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These powerful foes love to appear at the worst possible times like when you are traveling via oxcart or fighting another monster. We have run into multiple Griffins while fighting other boss enemies and it doesn’t always turn out pretty. You might want to make sure you have Wakestones for these fights.

Ogres/Grim Ogres

Ogres are an early-game boss monster you will fight in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These brutes won’t hesitate to dropkick you from a distance or snatch up one of your companions and run off with them. Ogres also like to climb cliffs and perform leaping strikes, making them far more deadly in this game than the last.

Cyclops

Another early-game boss monster is the Cyclops. These are other brutish enemies that can pose a threat to you early on in the game. Its main weakness is its rather large eye so it is easy to take down for those using ranged attacks like the archer. Arrows are your best friend for this fight. You can also easily topple this enemy if you push them over while they are off balance.

Minotaur/Goreminotaur

Minotaurs are the first enemies you might face that pose a real challenge. These foes love to charge at you at high speed, throwing you into the air in the process. Of course, if you are able to take these foes down, you will be rewarded nicely. Sometimes these foes can even drop Ferrystones.

Golem

Golems are large stone creatures with multiple weak points that glow. This enemy is hardly damaged by normal attacks and is really only taken down by hitting its weak spots. Because of this, you might have a very difficult time taking one of these foes down.

Wight

The undead are no joke in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Skeletons hit fast and zombies take forever to kill a second time. Wights, however, are the boss of these undead. Since Wights love to fly around, having a caster or a class with great mobility will help you take these creatures down fairly fast. Of course, you need to catch them first.

Chimera/Gorechimera

Chimeras are some of the most annoying boss monsters in the game. This is due to their many abilities. For starters, a chimera will use a roar from its lion head as well as use its claws for swiping. Next, it can use its goat head to cast a sleep spell. Finally, the snakeheads can shoot out acidic liquid and fire. Sounds like fun, right?

Sphinx

The Sphinx is a very interesting monster in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you decide not to fight her, she will give you some riddles and play a game with you. This will allow you to get a few rewards before you ultimately have to deal with her in battle.

Dragons/Drakes/Lesser Dragons

Dragons, Drakes, and Lesser Dragons are what Dragon’s Dogma 2 is all about. Killing these monsters counts as a triumphant achievement. Of course, thanks to the Dragonsplague mechanic, you will want to watch out for the after-effects. You may end up with a pawn suffering from the disease.
