Found the Lies of P Weeping Woman yet? This unfortunate soul may not have been murdered by puppets in Neowiz’s dark fantasy Souls-like yet, but her fate isn’t far off.

Here, we’re going to walk you through the Lies of P Weeping Woman quest, where to find her baby, how to complete it, and of course, whether or not you should lie to her at the end. We’ve covered plenty of other quests like this one, so if you’re stuck trying to find the Archbishop’s Holy Mark or want to complete Toma’s quest, we’ve got you covered.

Should you lie or tell the truth to the Weeping Woman in Lies of P: Agreeing to find the Weeping Woman's baby.

Should you lie or tell the truth to the Weeping Woman?

For those who have already reached this step of the quest, and are just looking for a quick answer, we would recommend that you lie to the Weeping Woman. There are a couple of reasons for this, which become more apparent when you know what each choice gives you.

Keep in mind though that this answer depends on which ending of the game you’re going for. If you’re going for the “always truthful” ending, tell the truth to her instead. With the exception of the dilemma to lie at Hotel Krat when you start, any lies you tell in the game can potentially lock you out of this ending. By contrast if you’re heading for the “always lie” ending, then lie to her.

What happens if you lie to the Weeping Woman?

If you choose to lie to the Weeping Woman and pretend that the doll you hand her is her child, she’ll believe you, as the advanced Petrification Disease has seriously impacted her senses of sight and touch, as well as her mind. She’ll thank you for returning her child to her, and reward you with both a Vivid Ergo Fragment, as well as a Record called “Feel”. You’ll only get the Record from her if you choose to lie.

What happens if you tell the truth to the Weeping Woman?

If you tell her the truth, that what she believes to be her missing baby is in fact just a doll, she simply won’t believe you. Too distraught by grief and maddened by sickness, she’ll insist that the doll is her child. She’ll still reward you a Vivid Ergo Fragment, but you won’t get the unique Record.

How to complete the Weeping Woman’s quest in Lies of P

When you speak to the Weeping Woman, she’ll ask you for a favour, explaining that when she was sent to the Petrification Disease Quarantine Zone, her child, Elena, was taken from her by her carers. She believes the child to be at Krat City Hall, and asks you to find her and bring her back, explaining that her remaining time is running out.

You can then head over to City Hall to find the child.

Where to find the Weeping Woman’s baby in Lies of P

Once you’ve defeated the Mad Donkey and rescued Gepetto at Alchemist’s Bridge, head on into Krat City Hall.

In the final section of the courtyard just before you enter the main building, you can find a large puppet off in the far right corner, smashing piles of bodies. You’ll most likely need to defeat this puppet, and be aware that he does respawn on resting at a Stargazer. Once he’s dispatched, head over to the piles of bodies.

You won’t find Elena here, and it’s unclear what exactly happened, but it’s likely fair to assume the worst. What you will find here is an item – a broken baby puppet.

When you then return to the Weeping Woman, you can hand over the puppet. In her near blind and broken state she’ll believe the puppet to be her lost daughter. It’s up to you whether you tell her the truth or let her pass away happy in the lie.

That covers everything you should need to know about the Lies of P Weeping Woman, how to finish her quest, and whether or not to lie to her. If you need something a bit more light-hearted, why not check out our Lies of P review, or our guide explaining how Fable Arts work?
