To wait in Cyberpunk 2077:
- Open the menu. This can be done by pressing ‘I’ on your keyboard, or the menu or options buttons on your controller.
- Once in the menu, you’ll see an option in the bottom left to skip time.
- Select it to bring up a dial where you can move the slider to your desired time. You’ll also see how many hours you’re going to wait, and the time of day that you’ll end up at.
Why would you want to skip time?
As for why you’d want to skip time or wait in Cyberpunk 2077, there’s a few good reasons. Firstly, there may be some missions where you are waiting for an NPC to contact you. Skipping time can speed that up. Secondly there’s missions that can only be done at a specific time of the day. Lastly, and the least impactful, is that if you enjoy a particular time of day to play in while free roaming, then you can set that to make your experience better.
