Vasco, classified as a Lunar Robotics Model A, stands as an instrumental asset of Constellation.

Background

Originally conceived as a rugged, heavy-duty apparatus by Lunar Robotics, Vasco was tailor-made for the demanding realms of outer space. Despite its initial design, Constellation took this precursor model, modifying and enhancing it to align with their expansive mission aspirations. Adorned in Constellation's signature white and red hues, Vasco's prolonged tenure in the fields has bestowed upon him visible scars, chipped paint, and dents that narrate tales of his adventures.

His presence in the Constellation saga is credited to Sir Malcolm Livingstone, who stumbled upon him in an Akila City salvage yard. Upon Livingstone's allegiance to Constellation and subsequent migration to New Atlantis, Vasco tagged along. With 41 operational years to his name, Vasco, built upon the "Type A" bipedal framework, boasts capabilities that allow him to traverse challenging terrains, equipped with essential survival tools and the load-bearing capacity vital for long-haul excursions. Though equipped for defense, Vasco's predominant directive is amicable.

Developer Notes

The name 'VASCO' pays homage to the renowned Portuguese voyager, Vasco da Gama. A cinematic glimpse into the world of Starfield reveals a playful jab at VASCO, where a scribble from a crewmate gently reprimands him for his oversight in fetching a supply of Tranquilitea, nodding to the Tranquility Base.
