Wondering whether you can hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2? The ability to roam around without your helmet to show off your character’s dashing looks while still benefiting from its stats really taps into that RPG itch. And, with so many players spending hours fine tuning their character’s face, they’ll likely want to showcase it to the world while still using the glut of armour pieces available from chests, the armory in settlements, and the good ol’ Smithy.

So, can you hide your helmet in Capcom’s critically-acclaimed sequel? For more Dragon’s Dogma 2 help, check out how to get Rift Crystals, an explainer on the character creator Moniker option, and how to hire Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Can you hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2, other than removing it entirely, but by doing so you’ll lose the armour’s stat boosting benefits in the process. This effectively defeats the point of having a transmog-like option to wear but still hide head armour.

Some helmet variants do have customisable elements and openings in their design that show off parts of your character’s face, but there’s no way to equip a helmet and not have it show on your character model when out exploring.

Bad news then, but there’s still hope that once Capcom gets up and patching we may see the option come to Dragon’s Dogma in the future. A small hope though as you couldn’t hide your helmet the original nor in Dark Arisen, so don’t hold your breath.
