Dragon’s Dogma 2 is almost here 12 years after the release of the first game. The original Dragon’s Dogma was packed full of content, and this game is set to be even bigger. Especially if the character creator is anything to go by, which is so detailed, players have been able to create the likes of Adam Sandler, and Kratos, and even pay tribute to an iconic Skyrim meme.

Like most RPGs, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will feature many side quests to encourage players to explore the game and not rush through the main story. In other games, players often take on every side quest they encounter and end up forgetting to complete most of them, resulting in a journal full of tasks that still need completing. This won’t be the case in Dragon’s Dogma 2, as you could be punished by the game for not completing your active quests.

U/Strange_Music on Reddit posted a screenshot that states that players must be careful when it comes to taking on too many quests as it can have negative consequences. The screenshot reads,

“Some quests are affected by the passage of time, and will progress even without the Arisen’s involvement. Taking on multiple quests at once comes with a risk of being unable to act in time, and this can result in unintended consequences. Try to bear the factor of time in mind when managing your current quests and taking on new ones.”

This seems like the world around you is living and breathing and quests will have an outcome with or without your involvement. An example of this could be having to collect an item to save someone’s life and if you don’t return in time they will have died which will result in the quest being unable to be completed and remove access to future quests from that NPC. Although until we have the game in hand we won’t know exactly how this mechanic will work, the previous example is just speculation and theorizing. It will be interesting to see how this is implemented when Dragon’s Dogma 2 is released on March 22.

To avoid taking on too many side quests, you’ll need to own the game first, and right now PC players can take advantage of a limited-time discount. But first, you’ll need to make sure that your PC matches the requirements, thankfully, they are very reasonable for a modern AAA game.
