If you want to change vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can do so by going to the Vocation Guilds. The first of these appears in the city of Vernworth. When you talk to a Vocation Guild NPC, you will be given the choice to change your vocation. From there, you can choose from different vocations to try out.
Changing your vocation requires you to spend Dcp which is a special currency obtained by simply using your current class, leveling up, and gaining experience. The starting vocations in the game are fighter, archer/ranger, mage, and thief. Later on, you will be able to try out hybrid vocations and more beyond the starter vocations. Different vocations use different weapons so be sure to try them all out and rank them up to unlock more skills.
Changing Pawn vocations
You can also change your Main Pawn’s vocation at the Vocation Guild. Unfortunately, you cannot change the vocation of Pawns that you hire. Because of this, make sure you always keep changing your Pawns.

Vocation Guilds are mainly found in cities. The first of these is located in the Vernworth guild hall which is near the bed icon for the inn. Later on, you will be able to find smaller towns that also have Vocation Guilds.

Each vocation has different weapon skills that you can use. You can also change these by going to the Vocation Guilds. To augment these skills, choose the “acquire/equip skills” option when speaking to a guild member. They will then give you the opportunity to purchase and equip new skills.
