How to alter your character’s and Main Pawn’s appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2

If you want to change the look of your Arisen and Main Pawn, you first need to make your way to a main city such as Vernworth or Bak battahl and find the Barberie Shop. The Barberie Shop is shown as a pair of scissors on the map like in the image below.

In Vernworth, you can go just beyond the Merchant Quarter to find Clovis’s Barberie. Here, you can alter your appearance at a cost:

  • Hairstyle – 10,000 Gold
  • Makeup – 10,000 Gold
  • Markings/Tattoos – 10,000 Gold
  • Change multiple – 25,000 Gold

As we mentioned before, if you want to purchase a new look, it can come at a pretty steep price, especially early on in the game.

How to complete alter the appearance of your character and Pawn

If you want to alter more than just your hairstyle, tattoos, markings, and makeup, you will need to get the Art of Metamorphosis book. This can be purchased from the Pawn Guild vendors in major cities in exchange for 500 Rift Crystals or RC. You can get this currency in a few ways:

  • Activating Riftstones for the first time
  • Having other players hire your Pawn
  • Defeating enemies

One Time Use

The Art of Metamorphosis book is a one-time-use item in Dragon’s Dogma 2. In other words, once you use this item to alter you or your Pawn’s appearance, it disappears and you will need to purchase another book if you want to alter your appearance again.

That is everything you need to know about changing your character’s appearance. While you can alter your look later on, we recommend not unless it is a priority to you. This is because of how steep the price is. Be sure to also check out what is a Moniker in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You can also check out the Dragon’s Dogma 2 trophy list.
