Finding the Alan Wake 2 General Store shotgun code can be a tad tricky. It’s one of the first puzzles you’ll come across in Remedy’s latest game and you’ll need specific code if you want to get your hands on the sawed-off shotgun.
Though getting the code isn’t one of the toughest puzzles in Alan Wake 2, it’s not all that obvious, especially if you’re still getting to grips with how the game’s puzzles work. Alan Wake 2 shotgun combination solution
The Alan Wake 2 general store shotgun code is 739.
The main story takes you to the General Store in Cauldron Lake to track down a rather important item in a freezer. As you explore the store, you’ll find a locked cabinet containing a sawed-off shotgun. Stuck to the cabinet is a post-it note that reads ‘Check with Lady Fortuna at the counter.’ A clue.
Head to the General Store cash register on the counter near the store’s entrance where you’ll find old crossed-out codes scribbled on a notepad and a Lotto Washington ticket. The numbers on the notepad match those on the lotto ticket – 05, 13, 17, and 23 – but without the 7. By deduction, we know that the code starts with a 7 followed by the next number in the Lotto ticket sequence. The number following 23, the last crossed-out code, is 39, which means the updated code to unlock the gun in the general store is 739.
Head back to the case and enter the code to unlock the Sawed-Off Shotgun, which offers quite a bit more firepower than the standard pistol, something you’ll need as you explore Bright Falls and beyond.
