Full Circle’s upcoming Skate sequel (AKA Skate 4) is the latest game to confirm it won’t be showing up at the EA Play Live showcase later this week.

“We know many of you were hoping to see more from us this week, but we’re not ready for prime time just yet and we won’t be part of the EA Play Live show on Thursday,” A tweet from the game’s official account read. “It’s still early and we are committed to doing this thing right, which means it’s gonna take some time.”

However, the statement also teased it was “stoked to share a little something with you all tomorrow” but stopped short of saying what it was. A first trailer? A screenshot or two for the new Skate? It looks like we’ll have to wait and see to find out.

A new entry in the long-dormant skateboarding series was first announced by publisher EA last year. A studio was put together that included Skate veterans Chris Parry and Deran Chung. Their team was given an official name back in January, with the studio now dubbed Full Circle.

It’s the latest game to confirm its absence from this Thursday’s EA Play Live Show. We’ve previously heard Bioware won’t be attending, and last week EA also confirmed that there won’t be any new Star Wars titles at the event. However, it does look very likely, although still unconfirmed, that we will be seeing a reboot of Dead Space. There’s only a few days left before we find out on Thursday at 6pm UK time.

In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on what Skate has up its (sleeves? trucks?) once that announcement’s been made, so check back here for that.
