Bioware has confirmed that it won’t be showing off any of the next Mass Effect or Dragon Age games at the EA Play Live showcase later this month.

In a tweet, the studio said “We’re hard at work creating the next [Dragon Age] and [Mass Effect] games and have some exciting stuff coming to [Star Wars: The Old Republic] this year. While we won’t be showing anything at EA Play Live, be sure to check out our SWTOR Livestream at 12PM PT today for info on what’s to come!”

It’s a shame, as we had hoped to see something from either game at the show scheduled to take place on July 22. It was reported back in February that the next Dragon Age game will mostly focus on single-player, but we haven’t seen a great deal of the long-awaited RPG sequel since a teaser trailer at the Game Awards back in December.

It was around the same time we last got a brief tease of the next Mass Effect game too, although with the release of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition just over a month ago, perhaps that one is a little further out.

As for that teased Star Wars: The Old Republic news mentioned in the tweet, that turned out to be the announcement of a new expansion pack for the ten-year old MMO, with Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith. That’ll be a free release expected this Holiday season, and you can watch the reveal event for that below.

EA Play Live will kick off on July 22 at 6pm UK time, and it’s looking increasingly likely that one thing that will be present will be the reveal of a reboot of the Dead Space series by EA Motive.
