Pocketpair has released a brand new update for Palworld on Xbox and Steam. This brand-new patch is fantastic for the community as it continues the developer’s hot streak of ironing out some of the game’s biggest faults in a timely manner. What’s especially great is that this brand new Palworld update fixes one of the game’s worst-ever bugs that was previously regarded as ‘game-breaking’ by the community.

As expected with it in early access only, the update doesn’t fix all of the game’s problems. There’s still an annoying mechanic that needs to be fixed, and there are still issues concerning stability and performance. However, updates will remain regular, and Pocketpair has revealed how many more future bosses are currently in development as part of the game’s long roadmap building up to the release of 1.0.

While issues naturally still remain in the early access build, the good and relieving news is that one of the worst bugs to plague Palworld has been fixed.

New Palworld update fixes ‘game-breaking’ bug

Pocketpair has released updates 1.4.1 and 1.1.4 for Palworld on Steam and Xbox respectively. We have posted the full patch notes so you can check out all of the fixes delivered for PC and console. While the entire list of repairs is great, the biggest and most beneficial fix is as follows:

  • Fixed an issue where, although the displayed capture probability increased when the capture power was strengthened with Lifmunk Effigies, the capture probability did not actually increase at all due to an internal processing bug.

We previously reported on the above ‘game-breaking‘ bug that was driving many players crazy. Basically, it was discovered that it was much easier to capture Pals without any Lifmunk Effigies at all compared to max level 10. Aside from just being hugely annoying, this was also perceived as ‘game-breaking’ because there was no workaround other than starting an entirely new save.

Fortunately, the issue is now resolved meaning Lifmunk Effigies should help you capture Pals more easily as intended. Responding to the fix on Reddit, many users echoed the sentiment that this is the ‘update we’ve all been waiting for‘. Many users also said they ‘Can’t wait to log back on‘ while expressing thanks to Pocketpair for their ‘commitment to such timely fixes’.

For more Palworld goodness, the community has shared an important PSA for how to most efficiently feed Pals, and a fan has found a secret new Pal that heavily resembles one of Pokémon’s most iconic Legendary baddies.
