There are lots of elements to manage concerning Pals in Palworld. You can be an abhorrent meanie who doesn’t care about their well-being at all, or you can instead be the perfect shepherd who cares for them in all the right ways from loving to curing their depression and injuries. One of the most crucial components is regularly feeding your Pals, and an important PSA from the community teaches fans how to most efficiently feed Pals in Palworld.
We have a guide to the complete Paldeck, and Pocketpair has promised more Pals for the future in their official roadmap. Nearly all Pals can be captured from the wild, but this ‘game-breaking bug‘ makes capturing Pals much harder than the capture rate suggests. In addition, not all Pals can be captured from the Wild such as this secret Legendary creature that can only be unlocked through breeding.
No matter how easily or the manner in which you unlock a Pal, the goal is to put them in your Palworld base to either breed or work a job. Regardless of their role, all Pals need feeding, and you don’t want to keep just stuffing their mouths with berries.
How to more efficiently feed Pals in Palworld
Reddit user Ohh_Yeah has shared an important PSA for how to more efficiently feed Pals in Palworld. If you feed your Pals actual food instead of berries, they will receive 10x more nutrition as well as ‘spend significantly less time eating and have fewer opportunities to get stuck’. This is because Pals ‘will only eat food until their fullness is >50%’ and ‘if you feed them berries (or baked berries) they do a ton of bouncing between 49% and 51%’.
Some of the better foods that can be cooked purely with farmed and ranched resources include pizza which provides 184 nutrition vs. 15 for berries. Pizza also increases work speed by 30% and gives a buff to slow down hunger. Another good source of food is salad which gives 84 nutrition and +30% work speed. If you have lots of berries, you can also add sugar to them to feed Jam-Filled Buns which provide 51 nutrition.
In addition to all of the above recommendations, the Reddit user also points out that ‘+30% work speed bonus from food is multiplicative, not additive’ which means ‘instead of getting 70 x [1.8 (Artisan + Food)] = 126 Work Speed, you actually get 70 x 1.5 (Artisan) x 1.3 (Food) = 136.5 Work Speed’.
In the replies, one user said ‘Pizza is where it’s at – condense some Cows and chickens, have 2 lvl 2s of each in your ranch, be the greedy corporate overlords who gives your pals pizza instead of wages to increase their productivity’. Another user echoed this sentiment saying ‘Pizza is not only massive nutrition and sanity but it makes em stay full longer and work faster’ while also sharing ‘all its ingredients with cakes except tomatoes’.
For more Palworld, fans have agreed on an update to fix the game’s most annoying mechanic, meanwhile, Pocketpair has confirmed how many more future bosses are currently in development.
