What Makes Top DPS In A Raid
Now, what really makes a Top DPS spec is obviously the overall Raid damage that a spec can yield. However, it’s not just any damage; as for Raiding, we mainly need to worry about single-target, cleave burst, or AOE burst.
Moreover, one of the remarkable things about Dragonflight is the new talent system, thanks to which different specs can readjust their builds to various situations. Thus, specific versatile specs can either go down the single-target path or the AOE path for bosses accordingly. However, investing in AOE points will significantly lower single-target damage if a class excels at single-target damage.

While Raid-wide utility is still favored, there’s another thing to take into account, and that is having a balanced Melee and Ranged DPS composition for Raids. If you have too many of the same specs in a Raid, looting Armor Gear and Tier Set Tokens for the same specs will get significantly slower due to the new Class distribution system.

Finally, if you don’t see your spec in this list, don’t worry, as Blizzard will continue applying hotfixes, buffs, and nerfs to further balance the expansion pack. As such, we’ll make sure to keep this list updated after considering changes in each patch from Blizzard’s side.
DPS Ranking For Vault Of The Incarnates Raid
With all of that out of the way, here’s our top DPS ranking for the Vault Of The Incarnate Raid:
1. Havoc Demon Hunter
The Havoc Demon Hunter is a versatile spec and despite the damage nerfs for this spec, it’s safe to say the Havoc Demon Hunter is nerf-proof thanks to its fantastic damage toolkit. That said, this spec is highly effective at single target and AOE damage without losing numbers in either.

Furthermore, thanks to its Netherwalk talent, the Havoc Demon Hunter is nearly unkillable, which provides increased movement speed and damage immunity. In addition, the Chaos Brand buff is the cherry on top, which increases the Havoc Demon Hunter’s already monstrous damage.
2. Enhancement Shaman
The Enhancement Shaman has excellent single-target damage as well as decent cleave damage to it. While, if you look back on this specs 25% damage nerf, which may come as a blow to Shaman mains, there’s actually a silver lining attached: Windfury Totem. Enhancement Shamans can now rejoice as with Windfury Totem, as they bring excellent utility to Raid compositions.

Since every Raid composition will at least stack 5 melee specs, the Enhancement Shaman can reap Windfury Totem’s benefits. As such, this spec more or less deserves the 2nd spot on this list!
3. Balance Druid
While Balance Druid’s single target damage may come off as mediocre, they do, however, have the best cleave damage, which is excellent for multiple encounters. This spec owes its 3rd place on this list to its Starfall talent, which is only accessible to Balance Druids. This is an incredibly powerful talent that further enhances the Balance Druid’s Cleave AOEs.

You’ll find many cleave encounters in the Vault of the Incarnates Raid. As such, Balance Druid can come in very handy, with no other specs keeping up with its Cleave spreading abilities!
4. Windwalker Monk
You’ll need at least one Windwalker Monk in every Raid as they not only bring some excellent single target and burst AOE damage but also excellent utility in the form of team buffs. As the Monk class, in general, is the bearer of the Mystic Touch buff, the Windwalker spec can make the most offensive use of it.

In addition to Mystic Touch, Windwalker Monks are durable with up to 4 defensive buttons, including Generous Pour and Close to Heart, two defensive buffs.
5. Outlaw Rogue
With Rogues, you’ll find the same defensive abilities and utilities. However, it’s the damage department where every Rogue differs from the others. As such, the Outlaw Rogue has exceptional Cleave damage, and while they do have single target damage, it isn’t as eye-worthy as the Assassination Rogue’s single target damage.

Anyway, if not for Assassination Rogue’s nerf, you might’ve certainly seen that spec instead of the Outlaw Rogue in this list.
Final Thoughts
Overall, these are the current specs you’ll see excelling in every Raid composition. So, take either of the mentioned specs, not necessarily though, and have fun while undergoing the Raid content.
