Healer Tier List For PVE

This list is created with throughput healing being the decisive factor for ranking the Healer specs, followed by utility in second, and finally, damage output. Furthermore, no matter how convincing this list may look, always take the spec you’re more accustomed to and whose benefits you can easily reap.

That said, like any other Tier list, this list is not final and is subject to change whenever Blizzard decides to further balance the given spec. So, with all that out of the way, let’s move on to our Healer Tier List for Dragonflight’s PVE:

Though Dragonflight only has a handful of Healers, we’ll go through some of the unusual ones in this list.

Restoration Druid

Whether in Mythic+ or Raid, seeing a Restoration Druid in every group will be no surprise. This spec is currently one of, if not the best, Healer in Dragonflight. The Restoration Druid has the strongest throughput toolkit of any Healer in the game, thus pumping out a crazy amount of heals per second.

With access to buttons like Flourish and Tranquility, they provide extensive sustains to friendly targets to survive heavy group damage. While they do not have extraordinary Raid-wide damage reduction abilities, they make it with the sheer amount of heals they can provide to groups.

With that said, this spec doesn’t provide decent active damage; they do, however, have access to passive damage abilities like Nature’s Vigil and Protector of the Pack. With the Carrier of the Mark ability, which basically buffs a single friendly target, they also bring decent utility to the table. If not for their lack of actively providing Damage, Restoration Druid could’ve been the best DPS healer in Dragonflight.

Holy Paladin

For Raids, in general, damage reduction abilities are super helpful, and if there’s one spec among Healers that brings the best utility in Dragonflight, then it’s Holy Paladin. This is where the Holy Paladins shine, as this class has access to Aura Mastery and Devotion Aura, two of the best Damage Reducing cooldowns.

As it currently stands, Holy Paladins are not true healers as they more or less fall into tankier roles. Though, it’s not to say that the spec is devoid of Healing buttons. In fact, they are currently one of the best Tank Healers you can have thanks to Beacon of Light which can heal a single friendly target.

While Holy Paladins don’t toss out as much Damage as the Discipline Priest, they still do a decent amount of passive damage with Zealot’s Paragon and Avenging Wrath. Overall, the class is pretty clearly an A-tier spec, only deranked from S-tier due to their lack of throughput healing.

Preservation Evoker

The new guy on the block, the Preservation Evoker, excels at burst healing and provides one of the best DPS among Healers. However, this spec is technical, and maximizing its potential will take some time. The Preservation Evoker throughput toolkit is stack-dependent, and extra globals are necessary to pull off DPS.

In addition to healing and Damage, this spec also brings decent utility with Damage reducing abilities and crowd-control effects. Preservation Evokers also have access to Naturalize, a spell that dispels Magic and Poison effects from friendly targets. For CC, the spec even has stuns, interrupts, and knock-ups, among many others!
