What To Do Before The Weekly Reset

Blizzard announced in a previous post that most of the activities would be unavailable prior to the weekly reset, so players could take their time leveling up. However, if you do happen to hit the level cap, here’s what to do before the weekly reset:

Time To Gear Up And Earn Some Renown

You can start grinding for some gear from the Normal Dungeons and Heroic Dungeons, although Mythic Dungeons won’t be available before the weekly reset. Moreover, this is also a good time to earn some Renown, as it’ll come in handy for the Aiding the Accord quest after the weekly reset.

Upgrade Your Dragon

If you missed any Dragon Glyphs while you were leveling up, now’s the time to collect them. These are required to increase your dragon’s flight time, and it’s really worth it if you don’t want your dragon landing mid-flight all the time. Along with the increased flight duration, your dragon’s flight speed will also increase, allowing for speedy travel through the Dragon Isles.

Level Up Your Profession

You’ll want to invest most of your time in leveling up your chosen profession before the weekly reset. As these Professions have quests, they will be locked prior to the reset. Once you reach level 50 with your Profession, you’ll be able to unlock tons of new Profession quests to partake after the weekly reset.

What To Do After The Weekly Reset

New activities will unlock after the weekly reset. As such, you should either start with the weekly Mythic Dungeons or the Aiding the Accord quest. However, we recommend prioritizing the Mythic Dungeon, as you’ll gather up some valuable gear to prepare for the upcoming Raid and the Mythic+ Dungeons.

There are 8 Dungeons in total, and completing them on the Mythic Difficulty will reward you with 372 ilvl equipment. Plus, if you’ve amassed 4000 Renown for the faction that you belong to, the Aiding The Accord quest will also be unlocked. This is one of the main weekly quests that grants valuable rewards, including a 350 ilvl equipment.

While you’re at it, keep an eye out for World Quests on the map. Those are worth completing as you can earn valuable rewards, including equipment, Transmog items, and Renown with your Faction.

After completing the above-mentioned activities, you can also participate in the PvP weeklies to earn some Renown. Along with that, as mentioned before, the Profession weeklies will also be available after the weekly reset. Completing Profession weeklies will reward Profession Knowledge points, which are required to upgrade your Specialization tree.

Community Events

With all of that out of the way, you can then partake in the three community events:

  1. Siege on Dragonbane Keep
  2. Community Feasts
  3. Centaur Grandhunts.

Each of these events will reward the player once a week, except for Grandhunts, which can reward the player up to 3 times a week.

Final Thoughts

This is all there is to do after reaching level 70, and if you’re done with these quests and dungeons, there’s always the option of boosting up an alternate account. We hope that with this guide, you won’t feel lost anymore, and you’ll be fully invested in the above-mentioned activities to prep for the upcoming Raid!
